History reflects in our bodies. Bodies, which are homes to our culture, heritage and identity. ‘Mine’ is the start of a research project concerning the archiving and documenting of histories through our bodies.
Currently, took this research the form of a collage portraying the current state of my body. From annnomys to non-annonymos portraits does it resonate with the personalisation and depersonalisation of the black body, and its history. Working with the idea that the black body will never be anonymous due its pre-shaped assumptions and the idea that our bones are shaped by our individual cultures.
